How to disable time zone sync (Windows) When connecting to the VPN, the time zone on a Windows device may change if the "Set time zone automatically" setting is turned on. To fix this issue, follow these steps: 1. Go to Settings > Time & language 2. Click on Date & Time. 3. In Set time zone automatically, toggle to the Off position. If this setting is turned off and the time zone displays the correct time zone but you are still experiencing issues, please submit a ticket to support@ostra.net.

How to Collect VPN Logs
1. Find the GlobalProtect icon and click it to open the user interface. 2. Select the menu icon (three stacked lines) in the upper right corner. 3. Select Settings. 4. Navigate to the Troubleshooting tab. 5. Click on Collect Logs and wait for the logs to generate. 6. Click on Open Folder to ensure the .zip file is created and save to Desktop. 7. Open a new email or email reply, attach the saved file, and send for review.* * If the logs were requested as part of an ongoing investigation, please attached the file to a reply in that thread to ensure it is received by the support engineer handling the case.

How to Connect to a New VPN portal
Follow these steps if GlobalProtect is already installed and you need to switch from the Ostra general always-on portal to a custom client portal. 1. Click on the GlobalProtect icon in your taskbar. OR Start typing "GlobalProtect" into the search and click Open. 2. Disable or Disconnect the VPN. 3. Click on the menu icon and select Settings. 4. Click on the General tab. The current AOVPN portal will be displayed. Click on Add to add the new VPN portal. 5. Enter the new address into the Portal Address field and click Save. 6. Confirm that the new portal is now displayed under Portals in the General tab. 7. Select the new portal from the drop-menu and click Connect. 8. You will be redirected to a page to authenticate with M365 or Google Workspace credentials if the new portal has SAML auth enabled. Otherwise, you will be asked for a username and password. Check with your Ostra onboarding contact for access to these credentials. 9. Select the old portal and click Delete. Please contact onboarding@ostra.net if this guide needs to be updated.

How to Uninstall GlobalProtect - Windows
Follow these steps to uninstall GlobalProtect from a Windows machine. Before you start: Only uninstall GlobalProtect if you own the device or have permission to do so. Your employer may require you to be connected to the VPN while conducting any company business. If GlobalProtect is blocking a site, there is no need to uninstall the software. Simply send the URL to support@ostra.net and request safelisting on the VPN. If you are experiencing slowness, there is no need to uninstall the software. Check your internet connection as most slowness while on the VPN is typically due to an unstable connection. If your connection is strong and stable, reach out to support@ostra.net for troubleshooting. Check the VPN user guide for how/when to disable the VPN and more information. 1. Click on the Windows or search icon in the taskbar to find the GlobalProtect app, and click Uninstall. If you can't find the application, follow these next steps: 2. Open Settings. 3. Click on Apps, then Installed apps. 4. Type "GlobalProtect" in the Search apps field or scroll down to find it. Apps are listed alphabetically. 5.
